COVID-19 update

Recently you attended a block course or night class at MIT. MIT have informed us that a student in a different class to yours has tested positive for COVID-19, and may have been in contact with the tutors that ran your classes. MIT has informed us that the Auckland Regional Health Service has carried out its full scoping exercise and determined that the person was not sick or infectious while they were at MIT. There is a very low risk they passed on the illness to anyone while at the Institute.

We are informing you as you attended MIT in the last two weeks. However, as advised by the Ministry of Health, the chances of transmission across the MIT campus is very low.

We advise that you contact your GP or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice.

Here is the correspondence from MIT, along with a letter from the Health Service. For more information on COVID-19, please visit the Government website. If you have any other concerns, please contact me at a.wheeler@competenz.org.nz
