Canvas online learning upgrade

Making your learning online easier

Kia ora

Exciting news! Your online mechanical engineering units, that are part of your apprenticeship, are getting an awesome new look and feel with some great new features:

  • Easier to use
  • Better marking system
  • Smaller chunks of learning and assessment
  • Instant feedback for some incorrect answers
  • New booking system to talk to eAssessors.

Canvas blackout

To get the new content up and running there will be a short Canvas blackout from 17-25 September with no access to your online mechanical engineering theory units. All on-job, non-mechanical engineering and block course tiles will still be there.

A list of the affected units can be found here.

Unit marking before 17 September

We suggest you complete any units you are close to finishing and get them marked as ‘achieved’ before 17 September, because you will lose any unfinished work. Or you can choose to start your unfinished units again in the new, easier-to-use format.

Any questions or do you need support to complete units?
