The Competenz national ‘Got a Trade? Got it Made!’ campaign shows school leavers and other jobseekers they can ‘have it all’ by making the smart choice to take on an apprenticeship or trades training. On-the-job tertiary training means they earn, learn and get a nationally recognised qualification without the need for student debt.
The campaign introduces young people to the industry training organisation (ITO) who can put them on the earn and learn pathway in one of their 36 industries, and can connect school leavers and other jobseekers to employers who have apprenticeships and entry-level jobs available.
Competenz CEO Fiona Kingsford says it is more important than ever to attract people into workplace training and apprenticeship programmes during this time of acute skills shortages in New Zealand.
Head to the campaign website for more information on how school leavers and job seekers can kick-start their career right now.
Employers who would like to list an apprenticeship or entry-level job for free* until 30 November 2019, can check out our list a job page.
