Competenz and LearnPlus have developed a customised business and administration course for office managers and administrators working in forestry (New Zealand Certificate in Business Administration and Technology Level 3).
The course is designed to enhance your business and administration skills by providing a suite of tools and techniques to streamline and improve your business operations.

- Determine the communications that work best in a busy office with diverse groups
- Provide business administrative support using business technology
- Obtain, communicate and reproduce business information using business technology
- Process data to produce business information for business purposes
- Produce business documents using different software
- Join a network of business professionals working in similar roles in the forestry industry.
How long does it take?
The qualification takes nine months to complete and will consist of a two-day workshop at the start the programme and a one-day workshop near the end.
Between workshops you will be required to complete online modules and assessments to show the knowledge and skills you have gained while producing great workplace documentation.
How is it delivered?
Each workshop involves interactive sessions where real-life examples will be analysed and discussed to improve workplace processes, streamline paperwork and written material, and enhance connections with internal
and external stakeholders.
Online learning
To support work done in the workshops and provide templates and additional resources, there is a suite of online learning material broken into four modules. You can systematically work through the modules gaining incites, tips and tools to complete the assessment tasks.
An online chatroom will be available to communicate with other group members and the programme facilitator.
You will need one or two hours per week to complete the assessment documents and this will link in with the activities you do as part of your normal work routine.
Support
A facilitator will run the workshops and online support will be provided
by LearnPlus.
Cost
$870 per person including GST for all workshops and material.
Where and when
The course will be run in Dunedin, Christchurch, Rotorua, Gisborne, Plamerston North and Whangarei. First workshops are happening in May and June.
