Already a staunch supporter of New Zealand Rugby League (NZRL), GOT A TRADE? GOT IT MADE! is getting behind the Kiwi Ferns as a sponsor of the women’s international programme.

GOT A TRADE? GOT IT MADE! featured prominently on the Kiwi Ferns' jersey as they went head-to-head with the Australian Jillaroos, as the curtainraiser for the televised Anzac Test at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.

A nationwide campaign to raise awareness of trade qualifications among jobseekers, their family and teachers, GOT A TRADE? GOT IT MADE! was already naming rights sponsor of NZRL’s national youth tournaments, providing careers advice to the youth elite programme.

“It’s a natural step to extend this support to the Kiwi Ferns for the Anzac Test,” says Rachel Hopkins, chair of GOT A TRADE? GOT IT MADE!

“Mothers, sisters, aunties and grandmothers all play an important role in the career decisions of young people, so GOT A TRADE is proud to support the Kiwi Ferns in their clash with the Australian Jillaroos.

“Not only are our trades crying out for more young people, we need more women involved in trades too.”

The relationship reinforces NZRL’s talent development programme.

“One of our biggest responsibilities is to inspire young people, whether that be through football or other career options,” says NZRL chief executive, Phil Holden.

“The GOT A TRADE team have helped us tremendously with that and we’re overjoyed to have them on board with our women’s programme.”

The inaugural GOT A TRADE WEEK, 21-28 August 2015, will feature a national programme of public and media events that celebrate the talent and achievements of trade apprentices and trainees.
